Privacy policy

What Bible WordQuest handles, what leaves your device, and what does not. Written to describe the app as it actually behaves.

Last updated 8 September 2026

Looking to delete your account? There is a page for that, and an in-app route that is faster.

Bible WordQuest ("Bible WordQuest", the "App") is operated by Kingdom Games ("Kingdom Games", "we", "us", or "our").

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Bible WordQuest, including when you play as a guest, create an account, use a parent-managed child profile, participate in leaderboards, view advertisements, make purchases, or use cloud-save features.

Bible WordQuest is designed for a broad audience, including children, teenagers, adults, and families. We use additional privacy protections for younger players.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Bible WordQuest mobile application and related account, privacy, support, and account-deletion pages operated by us.

1. Privacy Summary

You can play Bible WordQuest without creating an account.

Guest gameplay progress is primarily stored on your device.

Younger players receive stronger privacy protections.

Players under 16 may continue playing as guests or, where available, use a parent-managed child profile after a parent or legal guardian completes the required parental-consent process.

A child is not required to provide an email address to play Bible WordQuest.

Eligible older players may create optional accounts for features such as cloud backup.

Leaderboard participation is optional.

Children and teenagers are not intentionally served personalized or behavioral advertising.

Bible WordQuest currently uses contextual or non-personalized advertising by default.

We do not sell personal information for money.

We do not use children's personal information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.

We do not require access to your contacts, photographs, camera, microphone, or precise location for normal gameplay.

2. Age and Privacy Settings

Bible WordQuest uses an age-range screen so that we can apply appropriate privacy and account settings.

We do not need your exact date of birth for normal gameplay.

The App may ask you to select an age range such as:

  • Under 13
  • 13 to 15
  • 16 to 17
  • 18 or older

Until an age range is determined, Bible WordQuest uses the more privacy-protective configuration.

We may store the selected privacy category or age range locally on the device.

For an account or parent-managed child profile, we may store only the privacy category needed to operate the appropriate protections rather than the user's exact birthday.

You must not deliberately provide false age information to bypass protections intended for younger users.

3. Guest Play

You do not need an account to access the core Bible WordQuest experience.

When playing as a guest, gameplay information may be stored locally on your device, including:

  • Game progress
  • Levels and experience
  • Scores and personal bests
  • Completed puzzles and challenges
  • Coins and other in-game currencies
  • Hearts and refill information
  • Gifts, boosters, and inventory
  • Restoration progress
  • Badges and achievements
  • Daily streaks
  • Settings and preferences
  • Locally stored entitlement information
  • Other information required for the game to function

Guest gameplay data is not automatically backed up to our cloud database.

If you uninstall the App, clear its data, reset the device, or lose the device, some or all guest progress may be lost.

Although guest game-save information remains primarily on your device, third-party services used for advertising, store purchases, security, or other permitted technical purposes may process limited technical information as explained below.

4. Parent-Managed Child Profiles

Players below 16 may play without creating any online profile.

If a younger player wants cloud backup or another feature that requires an online profile, Bible WordQuest may offer a parent-managed child profile.

Before creating that profile, we require the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

The child is asked to provide a parent's or guardian's contact information rather than the child's own email address.

We may initially collect a parent's email address solely for purposes such as:

  • Notifying the parent about the child's request
  • Explaining our information practices
  • Obtaining parental consent
  • Completing the parent-verification process

If parental consent is not completed within a reasonable period, information collected solely to obtain consent will be deleted when it is no longer needed.

Where legally required, we use a process reasonably designed to verify that the person providing consent is an adult parent or guardian.

We may use a specialist parental-consent or age-assurance service for this purpose. That provider may process information necessary to verify adulthood or parental authority. We seek to receive only the result or evidence of successful verification rather than unnecessary identity documents or financial information.

Before launch of parent-managed child profiles, the provider used for this purpose will be identified in this Privacy Policy.

After consent, a child profile may contain:

  • A generated player identifier
  • A generated or approved player alias
  • A built-in avatar
  • Game progress
  • Cloud-save information
  • Achievements
  • Restoration progress
  • Inventory and virtual resources
  • Purchase entitlements
  • Season information
  • Parental-consent status
  • Limited technical information required to maintain and secure the profile

We do not require the child's:

  • Full legal name
  • Personal email address
  • Telephone number
  • Home address
  • Contacts
  • Photographs
  • Exact location
  • Complete date of birth

for ordinary child-profile gameplay.

5. Parental Rights

A parent or legal guardian who has authorized a child profile may request information about the personal information associated with that profile.

The parent may also:

  • Review the child's information
  • Request correction where appropriate
  • Request deletion of the child's online profile
  • Withdraw parental consent
  • Prevent further collection of the child's personal information
  • Control child-profile features that we designate as requiring parental permission

If parental consent is withdrawn, cloud-connected child features may be disabled and associated server-side child information will be deleted except where limited retention is required by law, fraud-prevention obligations, security needs, or provider backup processes.

Local gameplay information may remain on the device unless it is separately deleted.

Parents can contact us using the information in the Contact section.

6. Teen Players

Players aged 16 or 17 may be offered an optional standard or teen account where legally permitted.

Teen accounts receive enhanced privacy defaults.

We do not intentionally use teen information for behavioral advertising.

Public leaderboard participation is disabled by default for teen accounts.

Where a teen joins a leaderboard, Bible WordQuest may restrict the account to a generated or moderated player alias and built-in avatar rather than encouraging publication of a real name.

Optional analytics and advertising-related profiling described for adults are not automatically enabled for teen accounts.

Where local law requires parental involvement for a particular feature, transaction, or processing activity, we will apply that requirement.

7. Adult Accounts

Players aged 18 or older may choose to create a Bible WordQuest account.

Depending on the sign-in method, we may process:

  • Email address
  • Authentication provider
  • Firebase user identifier
  • Display name
  • Avatar selection
  • Account creation information
  • Sign-in timestamps
  • Referral code
  • Account status
  • Related security information

If email/password authentication is used, Firebase Authentication handles the password. We do not receive your password in readable form.

If Google, Apple, or another supported sign-in provider is offered, that provider may send us the account identifier and limited information required to create or authenticate your Bible WordQuest account.

8. Cloud-Saved Gameplay Information

For eligible users who enable an account or child profile, we may store gameplay information using Google Firebase Cloud Firestore.

This may include:

  • Levels and experience
  • Scores
  • Personal bests
  • Completed puzzles
  • Challenge progress
  • Coins
  • Hearts
  • Inventory
  • Gifts and boosters
  • Restoration progress
  • Badges and achievements
  • Daily streaks
  • Season progress
  • Settings
  • Entitlement records
  • Referral information
  • Information needed to synchronize or restore progress

Cloud saving occurs at appropriate checkpoints.

Not every individual gameplay action is necessarily uploaded immediately.

9. Leaderboards

Leaderboard participation is optional.

Creating an account does not automatically require you to appear publicly.

When an eligible player chooses to participate, other Bible WordQuest players may see limited information such as:

  • Player alias or display name
  • Built-in avatar
  • Score
  • Rank
  • Season-related ranking information

We do not intentionally display:

  • Email addresses
  • Parent contact information
  • Authentication identifiers
  • Exact age
  • Purchase history
  • Private cloud-save data
  • Contact details

Players may leave the leaderboard without deleting their entire account.

For younger users, leaderboard participation may be unavailable, require parental approval, or use a generated alias.

We prohibit players from placing telephone numbers, email addresses, social-media handles, home addresses, or similar personal contact information in public display names.

10. Advertising

Bible WordQuest may display advertisements, including optional rewarded advertisements.

We currently design the advertising experience to use contextual or non-personalized advertising rather than behavioral advertising. This substantially reduces the amount of information needed to select advertisements.

For children, teenagers, and users whose age has not yet been established:

  • Personalized advertising is disabled
  • Behavioral profiling for advertising is disabled
  • Advertising identifiers must not be transmitted where prohibited
  • Child-appropriate advertising configurations are used
  • Advertisements must be served through SDK versions permitted for child or mixed-audience use on the applicable platform

Bible WordQuest currently uses Unity advertising technology.

Unity may process limited technical information required to deliver, secure, measure, and report advertisements, depending on the privacy settings that apply to a particular user. This may include information such as:

  • Device type
  • Operating-system version
  • Application version
  • Language
  • Approximate region derived from network information
  • Whether an advertisement was displayed
  • Whether a rewarded advertisement was completed
  • Fraud-prevention or security information

We configure child and unknown-age sessions for the appropriate non-behavioral treatment.

Rewarded advertisements are optional unless the App clearly tells you that watching one is required to obtain a specific optional reward.

Declining a rewarded advertisement does not prevent access to the ordinary core game.

11. Analytics and Crash Reporting

Bible WordQuest may use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand adult usage, identify technical problems, and improve reliability.

Under the privacy architecture described in this Policy, these services are not automatically enabled for child profiles. We also do not enable optional analytics profiling for teen players by default.

For eligible adult sessions, analytics or diagnostics may process information such as:

  • Application version
  • Device model
  • Operating system
  • Approximate region
  • Game mode usage
  • Feature interactions
  • Installation identifiers
  • Technical diagnostic information
  • Crash traces
  • Performance information
  • Information necessary to diagnose software failures

Where applicable law requires permission before optional analytics or similar technologies are used, we will obtain that permission first.

Declining optional analytics does not prevent you from playing Bible WordQuest.

Crash reports are used for software reliability and security rather than advertising.

12. Purchases

Bible WordQuest may offer optional in-app purchases.

Transactions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card number.

Depending on how purchase verification is implemented, we may receive or store limited transaction information such as:

  • Product identifier
  • Transaction identifier
  • Purchase token or receipt information
  • Purchase status
  • Entitlement status
  • Information needed to restore or verify a purchase

Apple and Google process payment and billing information according to their own terms and privacy practices.

Parents and guardians should use available Apple or Google purchase-approval controls on devices used by children. Bible WordQuest may also apply an in-game parental gate before allowing a younger user to enter certain purchase-related areas.

13. Referrals

Eligible accounts may receive a referral code or referral link.

Referral features may be restricted for child profiles.

Where a referral is shared using the device's normal sharing tools, Bible WordQuest does not need to upload your address book merely to send the referral.

We may process referral identifiers and successful referral events for fraud prevention and to grant legitimate rewards.

14. Local Notifications

Bible WordQuest may schedule local device notifications, such as a reminder that hearts have refilled.

Local notifications can operate on the device without sending the notification content through our servers.

If Bible WordQuest later introduces server-based push notifications, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those practices are introduced where required.

15. Services That Process Information for Us

Bible WordQuest uses service providers to operate certain features. These currently include or may include:

Google Firebase. Used for eligible authentication, account management, cloud saving, database services, analytics, and crash diagnostics where enabled.

Unity. Used for game technology, advertising, and purchase integration.

Apple App Store and Google Play. Used for application distribution, purchases, subscription management where applicable, refunds, and platform security.

A parental-consent or age-assurance provider. Used to verify parental consent or adulthood before creating a parent-managed child profile, once that feature is available. Section 4 explains this in more detail, and this Policy will name the specific provider once the feature is active.

We require service providers to process information only for legitimate purposes related to the services they provide and subject to applicable law and contractual obligations.

16. Why We Process Information

Depending on the feature and jurisdiction, we process information to:

  • Provide requested gameplay services
  • Create and secure eligible accounts
  • Provide parent-managed child profiles
  • Save and restore progress
  • Provide optional leaderboard participation
  • Process and restore purchases
  • Provide referral functionality
  • Detect fraud, cheating, and abuse
  • Maintain service security
  • Deliver contextual advertising
  • Diagnose technical problems
  • Understand adult usage where analytics is permitted
  • Respond to support and privacy requests
  • Comply with legal obligations

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, legal bases may include:

Performance of a contract for requested account, cloud-save, or purchase-related functionality.

Legitimate interests for service security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and necessary operational reliability where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

Consent where we use optional analytics, optional personalized features, or processing for which consent is legally required.

Parental authorization or consent where applicable to a child profile.

Legal obligation where processing is required by law.

17. Children's Privacy

Bible WordQuest is designed to provide meaningful gameplay regardless of whether a child has an online account.

A child is never required to provide more personal information than reasonably necessary to participate in the relevant activity. Core gameplay remains available without an account.

For a player under 13, we do not knowingly create a cloud-connected child profile involving personal information until the required parental notice and verifiable parental-consent process has been completed, except for limited information that applicable law permits us to collect for the purpose of obtaining parental consent.

For other younger players, we apply parental involvement where required by applicable local law or by the more protective Bible WordQuest age architecture.

We do not knowingly:

  • Sell children's personal information
  • Use children's information for behavioral advertising
  • Permit children to publish unrestricted personal contact information
  • Require children to disclose contact information to play
  • Collect precise location from children for ordinary gameplay
  • Make a child's access to ordinary gameplay conditional on unnecessary personal-data collection

If we learn that information from a child was collected contrary to this Policy or applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to restrict or delete it.

18. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on the feature and your location, you may be able to:

  • Play without an account
  • Access your profile information
  • Correct account information
  • Leave the leaderboard
  • Change privacy choices
  • Decline optional analytics
  • Disable notifications
  • Request access to personal information
  • Request correction
  • Request deletion
  • Request restriction
  • Object to certain processing
  • Withdraw consent
  • Request portable data where applicable
  • Complain to a privacy regulator

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.

19. Account and Child-Profile Deletion

Eligible account holders can initiate account deletion from Bible WordQuest's account settings.

Parents can request deletion of child-profile information.

We also maintain an external account-deletion method on the Bible WordQuest website so that deletion can be requested without reinstalling the App.

Deleting an account or child profile removes associated active Bible WordQuest account information that we are not legally required to retain, which may include:

  • Profile information
  • Cloud-save information
  • Leaderboard entries
  • Username reservations
  • Referral data
  • Child-profile information
  • Other account-linked gameplay information

Deletion of a Bible WordQuest account does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google subscription. Store-managed subscriptions must be cancelled through the applicable store.

Some provider records and backups do not disappear instantaneously. For example, Firebase Authentication states that authentication information can remain in provider live or backup systems for a limited period after deletion. We therefore do not promise that every technical backup copy disappears immediately at the instant the deletion button is pressed.

20. Data Retention

Local information remains on the device until it is deleted, reset, or removed through the device or App.

Account information is retained while the account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the requested services.

Child information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, subject to legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, or compliance requirements.

Parental-consent records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to demonstrate that required consent was obtained and to meet applicable legal obligations. If a parental-consent request is never completed, contact information collected solely for obtaining that consent is deleted when it is no longer reasonably necessary.

Purchase records may be retained as necessary to verify entitlements, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or satisfy legal and accounting obligations.

Security logs may be kept for limited periods for fraud prevention and system protection.

Firebase states that certain authentication records may remain in live and backup systems for up to 180 days following deletion.

We do not retain personal information indefinitely merely because it might be useful someday.

21. International Data Transfers

Bible WordQuest is available internationally.

Our current Cloud Firestore database uses Google's nam5 multi-region in the United States. Accordingly, eligible account and cloud-save information may be stored or processed in the United States even if you live elsewhere.

Other providers, including Unity, Apple, Google, and a parental-consent provider, may process information in multiple countries.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we and our service providers rely on legally recognized transfer mechanisms such as contractual safeguards, adequacy decisions, certifications, or other permitted mechanisms.

22. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. These may include:

  • Encrypted network connections
  • Firebase authentication
  • Database access controls
  • Security rules separating private save information from leaderboard information
  • Restricted administrative access
  • Data minimization
  • Age-based privacy controls
  • Fraud and abuse prevention

No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Local game information is also protected by the device operating system's application sandbox and whatever passcode, biometric, or security measures you choose for your device.

23. Canada

Where Canadian privacy law applies, we handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian private-sector privacy requirements.

You may have rights to access information, challenge its accuracy, withdraw certain consent, and make a complaint to the appropriate privacy regulator. You may contact us first using the details below.

24. European Economic Area and United Kingdom

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you may have rights including:

  • Access
  • Rectification
  • Erasure
  • Restriction
  • Objection
  • Portability
  • Withdrawal of consent

Children receive additional protection as described in this Policy. Where consent is legally required from a parent or guardian for a younger user's processing, Bible WordQuest applies the parental-consent architecture described above.

You may lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority responsible for your location.

25. United States

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional privacy rights, including rights relating to access, correction, deletion, and certain advertising practices.

We do not sell children's personal information. We do not intentionally use children's information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Bible WordQuest's parent-managed child-profile process is designed to support applicable requirements of the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act where it applies. Parents may contact us to exercise the child-related rights described above.

26. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Bible WordQuest will continue to evolve. We may update this Privacy Policy when features, service providers, data practices, or laws change.

The current version will show a "Last Updated" date.

If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice or request a new privacy choice where legally required. We will not treat continued gameplay alone as consent to a new processing activity where applicable law requires express consent.
