What it is

Six word and puzzle games built on scripture, in one free app: Word Scramble, Scramble Rush, Word Search, Bible Trivia, Guess the Word and Verse Unlock. Alongside them sits a restoration mode where the coins you win go into rebuilding biblical landmarks, starting with Bethlehem.

The games share one library, one purse and one levelling system, so time spent in any of them counts everywhere.

What it is for

It is a game, and it is honest about being one. It is not a study aid, a devotional or a substitute for teaching, and questions of interpretation belong with people qualified to answer them.

What it does do is put scripture in front of you in a form you engage with rather than skim. The questions come from the text, verses are quoted as written with their references, and the landmarks you rebuild are places the Bible names. People tend to remember what they have puzzled over.

For church and youth leaders

The things you probably want to know:

• There is no social layer. No chat, no direct messages, no friend requests, nothing a player can post. The only thing anyone else sees is a display name and a score.
• Display names are moderated. Names that impersonate someone, carry contact details, or are offensive can be reset and the leaderboard entry removed.
• It is rated 13 and over and asks for an age band on first launch. Under-13s can play every mode as a guest but are never offered an account, never send data to our servers and never appear on the leaderboard.
• It carries advertising and in-app purchases, which is the honest reason it is a general audience app rather than a children's one. Both stores let you require a password for every purchase.
• It works offline, which matters more than it sounds for a room full of phones on bad wifi.

Content and accuracy

We make a real effort to get the biblical content right, and we do not claim it is flawless. If you find a question, an answer or a reference that is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. That kind of email is genuinely welcome.

Where a translation is subject to third-party rights, we use it within permitted limits and attribute it. If you believe something has been used improperly, get in touch and we will deal with it.
