Delete your account
You can delete your Bible WordQuest account and everything attached to it at any time. There are two routes, and the one inside the app is faster.
The fastest way: in the app
Open Bible WordQuest and go to Settings, then Account, then Delete Account. Deletion happens immediately, with no waiting period.
For security the app asks you to have signed in recently. If it has been a while, it will ask for your password first.
Requesting deletion from here
If you cannot get into the app, or you would rather we did it, email us and we will delete the account for you.
Send a message to the address below from the email address on the account, with the subject line Delete my account. If you signed in with Google, send it from that Google address.
kingdomgamesglobal@gmail.com
Request account deletionWe ask you to write from the account address because it is the only way we can confirm the request is really yours. If you cannot, tell us your display name and roughly when you created the account and we will work with you to verify it another way.
What gets deleted
Deleting the account permanently removes, from our servers:
- Your authentication record, which is your email address and the credentials attached to it
- Your display name, and the reservation that was holding that name for you
- Your cloud save: levels, experience, scores, personal bests, completed puzzles, coins, hearts, restoration progress in Restore mode, badges, achievements, challenges, streaks and settings
- Your leaderboard entry, including your avatar and season ranking
It cannot be undone. We cannot recover the account or the progress afterwards, so if you want to keep playing, do not delete it.
What is kept, and for how long
- Backups and system logs may hold fragments for a short period before they are overwritten in the ordinary course of running the service.
- Analytics and crash reports are held by Google on our behalf on their own schedule: analytics events for up to 14 months, crash reports for 90 days. Neither contains your email address or your game progress, and both are collected from every player, account or not.
- The game data on your own device is not touched by deleting the account. To remove that, uninstall the app or use your device's clear-app-data option.
How long it takes
In-app deletion is immediate. A request sent by email is completed within 30 days, and in practice much sooner.
Your purchases are not affected
Purchases belong to your Apple or Google store account rather than to us, so deleting your Bible WordQuest account does not forfeit them. They can be restored afterwards with Restore Purchases in the shop. The progress attached to the deleted account is gone either way.
An active subscription is a separate matter and keeps billing until you cancel it in the store. See the support page for how.
If you only want to leave the leaderboard
Deleting your account removes your leaderboard entry, but so does simply not signing in. If the leaderboard is the only thing you want out of, get in touch before deleting and we will talk you through the options.
